Volcan Antisana

Lying just 30 miles southeast of Quito, this 19,000 mountain is the fourth highest in Ecuador. A 13,500 foot plateau at the base of mountain harbors many high altitude birds, including the endangered Black-faced Ibis. Lake Mica Cocha there is the water supply for Quito.
