This young fox has not quite completed its molt to the pure white of its winter coat. Moments before this image was made, it had jumped into the front seat of my rental truck and eaten a candy bar. I had foolishly left the door open! In the fall, much to their detriment, many Arctic Foxes are quite tame and so vulnerable to hunters and trappers.
